DIGITAL ROMANCE

Currently texting a guy I ´met´on ig. I hate when that happens since Ím the ultimate hopeless romantic and need the perfect love at first site story.. meaning dating apps and social media in general are stricktly for casual intimacy ONLY. So going into this, bored and horny I didnt expect anymore than a little flirt and maybe some cute pics back and forth. all appropriate ofc. Had no idea how easy a few texts could sweap me of my innocent and delusional feet…

the guy is a 22 yr old white hobby-rapper with a fascination for politics and whatever thats kind of all I know so far. 22 yrs is kind of young for my usual taste, but I can let it slide ig. the passion for politics is always a big plus for me. Depending what side your on whatsoever obvy, but lets not talk politics right now. The hobby rapper part is fine for me too as long as its a hobby. And i can honestly not say a lot about his music/art so far but I do like 1 or 2 songs so sounds promising. But heres the other shoe wéve waited to drop: hes hooked on weed (I think). i could point out 10 reasons why this is a lowkey deal breaker for me, but I dont feel like going into that so lets just leave it at readflag for me… 

back to the digital romance. Having a crush irl is one thing but crushing online? thats a whole new delusion ur falling into. creating this Idea of someone, overanalizing every single story, mutual-follower, every text. And frankly just feeling psycotic after viewing the persons profile for the 10th time that day. Everybody does it. no news. modern romance.plzzz. The only way u can  stop the madness is by actually just ´meeting’. soo thats why mr hobby-rapper and I are planning our first date. Ím feeling confident about the whole thing. So far, so good. For me the actual romantic part about online dating is the built up, texting, maybe even phonecalls. The excitment and also danger ur putting urself into on that first date. Who new ⁠ blind ⁠-dating could be so eyeopening and turn me into a digital romantic.
